We participated in the series of installations called “Staircase Pavilions”, with a spatial intervention in an underused building’s room. We drilled the walls to produce peepholes that allowed visitors to spy on the city. The small holes, in turn, generated an array of sunrays within the room whose camera obscura optical effect projected images of the city onto the walls, such that, the public space was introduced into the building art space. The intervention explored building something from nothing; using the void and minimal resources to perform city-making.
